Register your IREB certificate!

IREB has officially launched the CPRE registry on the website today. You have the possibility to register your CPRE certificates on the IREB website. 

Certified professionals who want to be visible as holder of CPRE certificate(s) can register their certificates on the IREB website. They will be listed in the registry and receive an insignia which may be used for personal web-presentation, CV, etc.

TEXT ABOUT SURVEY:

When developing a software [intensive] product you make choices. What parts/components should you build, what parts should you buy? Should you use open source or not? Do you compare tailored components with COTS components, what about open source vs. proprietary components? Whatever the scenario you have to take a decision.

We are specifically looking into the DECISION METHOD/MODEL you use when weighing different alternatives. The goal is to learn from you as practitioners - what do you do, when and how? And then to use your feedback as input for research into how to develop better decision support methods. We are interested in your responses independent of how you take decisions, the important thing is that we get input on how things are done in practice and not a "perfect" example case.

All answers will be handled confidentially and used only for research purposes.

debattera med REQB...or NOT?

Jag fick en fråga från SAST om att debattera med REQB för vilken certifierings som var bäst.

Egentligen bryr jag mig inte om certifieringar, men har en ENORM respekt för kunskap och ogillar starkt certifieringar som glider på marknadsföring utan att egentligen ha en genuin kärna.

ALLA certifieringar och kurser som ökar intresset för KRAV, kravingenjörsskap och verksamhetsanalys är BRA!

...det är dock mindre bra om personer tror att de "kan allt"om de har gått en REQB kurs (har stött på några sådana förvillade själar...)'

Så här formulerade jag mitt svar
(som faktiskt var nekande...inte för att jag "Chicken out"...utan snarare att om jag "går all in" så är det synd om de stackars respondenterna för REQB ;-)

Om någon trots allt känner sig manad att ägna tid åt en debatt, så hör av er så kan jag förmedla det till arrangörerna.

att debattera med REQB är som att "slåss med ett litet barn"  eller som att ett elitserielag skulle möta ett korplag... det är inget som jag ens ser framför mig att jag vill vara med om ...om man lägger alla fakta på bordet blir det bara pinsamt och att "låtsas" som att de spelar i samma serie är bara larvigt...   

det är endast i Sverige som REQB har något att säga till om pga ett antal marknadsföringsknep, skitsnack och lögner och kopplingar till den svenska delen av ISQI  internationellt är REQB inte ens på kartan   

jag har inte intresse av att ödsla energi på en ojämn fight och kan egentligen inte rekommendera någon att göra det heller...   

jag brukar rekommendera folk att läsa vår utvärdering av IREB och REQB, så kan de bestämma själva.

Argument som jag har hört för REQB är ofta helt befängda och till och med de som sitter högt upp i företag som "säljer REQB" ångrar idag sitt val (när man pratar med dem på tu man hand) men "måste nu stå sitt kast"... de valde REQB pga personliga relationer snarare än som resultatet av en genomtänkt analys...

   In September 30 2015:  IREB exceeded 22,000 certifications in the Foundation Level!  29,458 exams in total and 22,391 certified CPRE-FL in 59 countries. The passage rate is at 75.9%.

Since 2007, more than 22,300 professionals in 59 countries have passed the CPRE Foundation Level examination.

Based on these figures, the CPRE certificate can rightly be regarded as the leading certificate in Requirements Engineering!

In September we have exceeded 22,000 certifications in the Foundation Level!

In total 29,458 exams 

and 22,391 certified CPRE-FL 

in 59 countries.

The passage rate is at 75.9%.

The rather weak start of the year was due to low request for training in Europe for all kinds of certifications

Q4 started very well for IREB
